Kindly note, that the change of major option often negatively affects the student's progress and causes delays in the graduation. Therefore, you are strongly advised to focus on your current major and continue successfully. Moreover, each major has a certain capacity and is based on which available seats are assigned.
Major change policy: · Students can apply for major change in their freshman year or last Prep semester. · All major change requests will be ranked based on the students' cumulative GPA, and they will be assigned accordingly to the majors having available seats. · Although frequent changing of major is not recommended, students can still change their major in exceptional circumstances (maximum of two times).
Major change process: · Fill the change major form (which can be accessed through link https://change-major.kfupm.edu.sa ) · Students must list their majors by priority if more than one major is entered.
Important dates: · Applying period for major change: April 28 - May 16, 2024. · Students will be notified by Jun 10, 2024.
Note: Students will be assigned one of their requested choices if available, and the student's confirmation for the assigned major is not required. Therefore, if new major is assigned to the student, the process cannot be reversed.
